If a Picture is Worth a Thousand Words, then a Video Must be Worth a Billion

Happy New Year to you all! One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to become less verbose in my postings (sure, Jim … like that will last). The following video captures an interesting dynamic that emerged during the first 64 weeks of Flower Potency Testing by Washington’s supposedly PRAGUE Labs. The Y-axis (vertical) shows “inflation” of reported TOTAL CANNABINOIDS … being on the red line means the lab was using THCmax (and, hence, their “inflation” is zero %).   As one moves up, the inflation increases. The X-axis (horizontal) shows the value […]

Labbiness in Washington Labs: Where is truthiness when you need it?

(with apologies to Stephen Colbert on the title of this post) Now that another Christmas and Boxing Day are behind us, I’ve compiled a series of metrics that I believe capture much of the “flavor” in the multi-dimensional dataset describing the quality assurance and potency testing conducted by the Labs through August of this year. (Author’s warning – this is a 21+ – only posting, as it deals with Numerology, and I do not believe that children should be exposed to such things.  I know what it has done to me.) 12/20/2015 (JimNote – see that number hiding in today’s date?) When Senate Bill 5202 pronounced the death of Washington’s long-standing medical market, harm was Legislatively foisted on all patients that incorporate Cannabis into their health regimens and on all of those involved in ensuring that these patients had reliable and ready access to their […]

Cannabinoid Profile Test Results

Washington Growers are the Best on the Planet – according to at least some of our accredited Labs (Author’s note:  I initially considered titling this post “Setting Appropriate Retail Price Levels for Cannabis:  What the Feds (and, apparently, some of the Labs) Don’t Want Your Customers To Know”. … I decided that was not appropriately uplifting and “nice”, given the Season we are in). Welcome to the third installment in my series assessing the results being reported by the 14 labs serving the testing needs of Washington’s State-legal Cannabis industry during […]
