Monetizing the Number of the Beast

A rare retroactive prediction from me. Prior to the expected release of the daily sales data later today, I wanted to make a prediction about what it will tell us. I am predicting that, as of last Tuesday (Feb 2, 2016),the cumulative total I-502 sales since the inception of the market in June of 2014 will have passed $666 million dollars. That is correct, one million iterations of the number of the Beast. That it would happen on the 2nd day of the week (Tues) and that it would be […]

One is Not the Loneliest Number: Bud Package Sizes

This post addresses a question which has been buzzing around for awhile – namely, what is the relative popularity of different bag sizes for flower purchased in the regulated Cannabis market? Mr. Busby of WeedTraQR used the OpenTHC platform to produce the data used in this post- my appreciation to him for that. If a Picture is Worth a Thousand Words, then a Video Must be Worth a Billion

Happy New Year to you all! One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to become less verbose in my postings (sure, Jim … like that will last). The following video captures an interesting dynamic that emerged during the first 64 weeks of Flower Potency Testing by Washington’s supposedly PRAGUE Labs. The Y-axis (vertical) shows “inflation” of reported TOTAL CANNABINOIDS … being on the red line means the lab was using THCmax (and, hence, their “inflation” is zero %).   As one moves up, the inflation increases. The X-axis (horizontal) shows the value […]
